Operationalization and Funding
- The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, is tasked with including the operationalization of these branches in the Court’s program.
- Funding for the operation of the two RTC branches shall be allocated from the annual General Appropriations Act.
Amendment to Existing Law
- Section 14(e) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 (The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980), as amended, is amended to reflect the creation of the two additional RTC branches.
- All laws, rules, and regulations inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are amended, repealed, or modified accordingly.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication.
- Publication must be in the Official Gazette or in two newspapers of general circulation.
Legislative Process and Approval
- The Act originated in the House of Representatives and was passed by the House on May 23, 2011, and by the Senate on February 21, 2012.
- The Act was approved by the President on April 17, 2012.
