Republic Act No. 10162 is titled 'An Act Creating Two (2) Additional Regional Trial Court Branches in the Province of Laguna to be Stationed at Sta. Rosa City, Amending for the Purpose Section 14, Paragraph (e) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129, Otherwise Known as The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980, as Amended, and Appropriating Funds Therefor.'
The main purpose of RA No. 10162 is to create two additional branches of the Regional Trial Court to be stationed at Sta. Rosa City in the Province of Laguna, within the Fourth Judicial Region.
The Supreme Court is responsible for assigning the branch numbers of the newly-created Regional Trial Court branches in the Fourth Judicial Region.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, is tasked with the operationalization of the two additional RTC branches in Sta. Rosa City.
The funding for the two additional Regional Trial Court branches is to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

RA No. 10162 takes effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication in the Official Gazette or in two newspapers of general circulation.

Laws, rules, and regulations inconsistent with RA No. 10162 are amended, repealed, or modified accordingly to conform with this Act.
