Officers and their ranks
- The head of the Office is the Court Administrator.
- The Court Administrator has the same rank, privileges, and compensation as those of the Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeals.
- The Court Administrator is assisted by three (3) Deputy Court Administrators.
- Each Deputy Court Administrator has the same rank, privileges and compensation as those of an Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals.
Qualifications, appointment, tenure rules
- The Court Administrator and Deputy Court Administrators must have the same qualifications as Justices of the Court of Appeals.
- They are appointed by the Chief Justice.
- They serve until they reach the age of sixty-five (65) years or become incapacitated to discharge the duties of the office.
- They may be removed or relieved for just cause by a vote of not less than eight (8) Justices of the Supreme Court.
- The Chief Justice may appoint or detail any member of the Judiciary with the proper qualifications to the positions of Court Administrator or Deputy Court Administrator.
- A Judiciary member appointed, designated, or detailed does not lose judicial position, and does not lose seniority, precedence, benefits and other privileges; service in the Judiciary is continuous and uninterrupted for all intents and purposes.
Oath of office and filing
- The Oath of office of the Court Administrator and Deputy Court Administrators must be filed with the Office of the Clerk of Court of the Supreme Court.
- The oath must be entered upon the records of the Clerk of Court.
Salary guarantees and amounts
- The salaries of the Court Administrator and Deputy Court Administrators must not be decreased during their continuance in office.
- Until otherwise provided by law, the salary of the Court Administrator is P56,400.00.
- Until otherwise provided by law, the salary of each Deputy Court Administrator is P52,400.00.
Powers, staffing, and internal organization
- The Supreme Court determines and defines the powers, functions and responsibilities of the Court Administrator and Deputy Court Administrators.
- The Chief Justice creates such offices, services, divisions and other units in the Office of the Court Administrator as the Chief Justice may deem necessary.
- For creating those units, the Chief Justice is authorized to adopt and implement corresponding staffing patterns.
- Position titles and salaries of personnel created must follow the Judiciary Position Classification and Pay Plans.
Subordinate personnel employment status
- Subordinate officials and employees appointed under Presidential Decree No. 828 belong to the classified service.
- Classified service subordinates are governed by the Civil Service Law, except those whose positions are highly technical or primarily confidential.
Appropriation and budget inclusion
- P2,000,000.00 is appropriated for expenditures to carry out the purposes of the Decree, or so much thereof as may be necessary.
- Appropriations for succeeding fiscal years must be included in the Annual General Appropriations Decree.
Repeal, effectivity, and immediate operation
- All laws, decrees, and orders inconsistent with Presidential Decree No. 828 are repealed or modified accordingly.
- Presidential Decree No. 828 takes effect immediately.
- The Decree is dated November 18, 1975, and was done in the City of Manila.
