Purpose and municipal organization
- The order establishes a new local government unit named Tambulig in Zamboanga del Sur.
- The municipality is organized as a regular municipality by defining its component barrios and sitios and its boundaries.
- The municipality begins to exist only when statutory officials are installed and financial capacity is certified.

- The Municipality of Tambulig consists of specified barrios and sitios taken from Molave and Aurora.
- From the Municipality of Molave, the municipality includes:

Seat and internal governance location
- The seat of government of Tambulig is at the barrio of Tambulig.
Territorial boundaries of Tambulig
- Tambulig is delimited by a technical boundary description anchored on specific points, highways, waterways, and provincial boundaries.
- The boundary begins at Point 1, the intersection of Dipolo River and the National Highway at Dipolo Bridge, and proceeds through successive points following specified directions and distances.
- The description includes segments:
- northeast to a distance of 4,400 meters
- north to the intersection with the provincial boundary between Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga del Norte to 26,000 meters
- east along the provincial boundary to intersection with Zamboanga del Sur and Misamis Occidental to 4,800 meters
- south along the provincial boundary to intersection with the National Highway to 29,400 meters
- to Point 6 on Pangil Bay, southeasterly for 10,000 meters
- to Point 7 at the mouth of Dipolo River, following the shore line for 12,000 meters
- then following the course of Dipolo River for 24,000 meters back to Point 1.a
- The technical description is furnished by the Office of the Highway District Engineer of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur based on a sketch of the map prepared and submitted by the same office.
Territory segregation from parent municipalities
- The Municipality of Molave retains its present territories minus the portions included in Tambulig, as delimited above.
- The Municipality of Aurora retains its present territories minus the portions included in Tambulig, as delimited above.
When Tambulig begins to exist
- The Municipality of Tambulig begins to exist upon the appointment and qualification of the mayor, vice-mayor, and a majority of the councilors.
- Existence of the municipality also requires certification by the Secretary of Finance that Tambulig is financially capable of implementing the Minimum Wage Law and providing:
- all statutory obligations, and
- ordinary essential services of a regular municipality.
- The Secretary of Finance’s certification also confirms that, after segregation:
- Molave and Aurora can still maintain creditably their respective municipal governments,
- meet their statutory and contractual obligations, and
- provide essential municipal services.
Approval, signature, and effective timing
- The order is done in the City of Manila on December 27, 1957.
- It takes effect for purposes of creation when the required municipal officials are appointed and qualified and when the Secretary of Finance certifies financial capability.
- The President who signs the order is Carlos P. Garcia and the Executive Secretary is Fortunato de Leon.
