Jurisdiction and Functions of the MOLE Zonal Extension Office
- Holds original and exclusive jurisdiction over labor cases within the Zone
- Responsible for implementing labor laws, plans, programs, rules, and regulations of the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE)
- Provides efficient and effective labor and manpower services
Organizational Structure and Supervision
- The Zonal Extension Office is under the immediate supervision of the MOLE Regional Director for Region III
- Headed by an Assistant Regional Director
- Staff support is mandated to ensure effective program implementation
Staff Benefits and Facilities
- Staff are entitled to free quarters within the Zonal Extension Office Building, which is authorized to be constructed
- Eligible for incentive allowances up to 50% of their annual salary
- Other emoluments may be granted as per the Office of Budget and Management
Coordination with Export Processing Zone Administration
- Emphasizes the need for close cooperation between MOLE and Export Processing Zone Administration to align policies and objectives
Support Facilities and Mobility
- At least one motor vehicle must be provided to the Zonal Extension Office to facilitate personnel mobility
Funding and Personnel Allocation
- Authorizes the allocation of personnel by the Office of Budget and Management and MOLE
- An initial amount of One Million Pesos is allocated for the operations of the Zonal Extension Office
Repeal and Modification of Conflicting Laws
- All laws, decrees, orders, rules, or regulations inconsistent with this Executive Order are repealed or modified accordingly
Effectivity
- The Executive Order takes effect immediately upon issuance on January 30, 1983
