  • The boundary follows the southeast course of the Gitagum River to a third point approximately 5,800 meters from the mouth.
  • From there, the boundary goes southeast (S. 15° 00' E.) for 3,800 meters to the Lourdes-Laguindingan Road.
  • It follows this road southwest to point 5 at barrio Lourdes, about 1,500 meters.
  • Then proceeds north-northwest (N. 39° 00' W.) twice to points 6 and back to point 1, closing the perimeter.
  • The technical description and sketch plan, scaled 1:40,000, were prepared by the Office of the District Engineer of Misamis Oriental.

Effect on Municipality of Alubijid

  • The municipality of Alubijid retains its original territory except for the barrios now included in Gitagum.

Conditions for Existence and Operation

  • The municipality of Gitagum shall commence functioning upon the appointment and qualification of its mayor, vice mayor, and a majority of the councilors.
  • The Secretary of Finance must certify that Gitagum is financially capable of fulfilling obligations under the Minimum Wage Law.
  • Gitagum must be able to provide statutory obligations and essential municipal services expected of a regular municipality.
  • The mother municipality of Alubijid must demonstrate that it remains creditworthy and able to fulfill its statutory and contractual obligations after the segregation.
