Under the provisions of Section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Board of Misamis Oriental.

The seat of government is at the barrio of Gitagum.

It is bounded beginning at the eastern coast of Iligan Bay, following the marine waters, to the mouth of Gitagum River, along the course of the river, the Lourdes-Laguindingan Road, barrio Lourdes, and back to the point of beginning with precise distances and directions as described in the order.

Upon the appointment and qualification of the mayor, vice-mayor, and majority of the councilors and upon certification by the Secretary of Finance that the municipality is financially capable, and the mother municipality can still maintain its obligations and services.

The Secretary of Finance must certify that Gitagum is financially capable of implementing the Minimum Wage Law and providing statutory obligations and essential municipal services, and that Alubijid can still meet its obligations after segregation.

Alubijid shall retain its present territory minus the portions included in the new municipality of Gitagum.

President Carlos P. Garcia signed the Executive Order, with Natalio P. Castillo as Executive Secretary.
