Operationalization and Funding
- The Chief Justice, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, must include the functionalization of the new court branches in the judiciary’s program.
- Funding for these courts must be considered in the annual General Appropriations Act.
- Allocation and release of funds are conditional upon the actual organization of the courts and appointment of their personnel.
Amendment of Existing Laws
- Section 27 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 (The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980), as amended, shall be modified to incorporate the creation of these additional branches.
- Any laws, rules, or regulations inconsistent with this Act shall be considered amended, repealed, or modified accordingly to align with the new provisions.
Effectivity Clause
- The Act takes effect fifteen days after full publication.
- Publication must be made either in the Official Gazette or in two newspapers of general circulation.
Legislative and Executive Approval
- The law was approved by both the House of Representatives and the Senate in 2012.
- The President of the Philippines provided final approval on November 8, 2012.
