Supreme Court assignment of branch number
- Section 2 requires the Supreme Court to assign the branch number for the newly created RTC branch.
- Section 2 places the branch numbering authority solely with the Supreme Court.
Implementation and funding integration
- Section 3 directs the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, to immediately include the implementation of the Act in the Court’s program.
- Section 3 requires the funding for the newly created branch to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
- Section 3 provides that funds necessary for the operation of the court created by the Act shall be appropriated and released only upon the actual organization of the Court and the appointment of its personnel.
Amendments and repeal of inconsistent provisions
- Section 4 deems Section 14(m) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 (the Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980, as amended) repealed, modified, and/or further amended for purposes of the Act.
- Section 4 also deems other provisions that may be inconsistent with the Act repealed, modified and/or further amended.
Effectivity after publication completion
- Section 5 provides that the Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
- The Act is approved on MAY 15, 2013 and is effective after the publication-based timeline in Section 5 is satisfied.
