Conversion of the school to national status
- Section 1 converts the Pilar Productivity Development High School in the Municipality of Pilar, Province of Sorsogon into a national high school.
- Section 1 directs that the national high school shall be known as Pilar National Comprehensive High School.
Transfer and absorption of personnel, assets, liabilities, records
- Section 2 transfers all personnel of the Pilar Productivity Development High School to the Pilar National Comprehensive High School.
- Section 2 transfers and absorbs all assets to the Pilar National Comprehensive High School.
- Section 2 transfers and absorbs all liabilities to the Pilar National Comprehensive High School.
- Section 2 transfers all records to the Pilar National Comprehensive High School.
Funding and appropriation mechanism
- Section 3 requires the Secretary of Education to immediately include the operationalization of the Pilar National Comprehensive High School in the Department’s program.
- Section 3 provides that the initial funding shall be charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Pilar Productivity Development High School.
- Section 3 provides that thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Implementation by the Secretary of Education
- Section 3 (Implementation) empowers the Secretary of Education to issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of Republic Act No. 9628.
