Increase in Authorized Bed Capacity
- Bed capacity increased from 25 to 150 beds.
- Future increases in bed capacity must align with a hospital development plan.
- The development plan is to be prepared by the Chief of Hospital and submitted to the Department of Health (DOH).
Upgrading Health Care Services and Facilities
- Existing professional health care services and facilities must be upgraded.
- Upgrades must be commensurate with the increased bed capacity.
Expansion of Workforce
- Increase in hospital workforce including doctors, nurses, and support personnel.
- Workforce expansion corresponds to the increase in bed capacity and upgrading of services.
Funding and Appropriations
- The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro is responsible for funding maintenance and operating expenses of OMPH.
- Additional funds must be appropriated for increased human resources and upgraded services and facilities.
Department of Health Support
- The DOH Secretary shall include OMPH in the department's subsidy program.
- This support includes capital outlay requirements.
Severability Clause
- If any part of the act is declared unconstitutional, other provisions remain effective.
Repeal and Modification of Conflicting Laws
- All laws, executive orders, and rules inconsistent with this Act are modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The law takes effect 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
