Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records
- All personnel from the Lawa National High School-Nueva Villa Extension are transferred to the new independent school.
- Assets and liabilities of the extension are also transferred to Corona A. Cabanilla National High School.
- Records of the extension school are absorbed by the newly created school.
Operationalization and Funding
- The Secretary of Education is mandated to include the new school in the Department of Education’s programs immediately.
- Initial funding is charged against the current year’s appropriation of the Lawa National High School-Nueva Villa Extension.
- Subsequent funding for continued operation must be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Rulemaking and Implementation
- The Secretary of Education must promulgate rules and regulations implementing the Act’s provisions within 120 days from the Act’s approval.
Effectivity
- The Act becomes effective 15 days after its publication either in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
Legal Formalities
- The Act was passed by the House of Representatives on November 25, 2020, and by the Senate on September 20, 2021.
- Officially approved and signed by the President of the Philippines on December 10, 2021.
