Increase in Bed Capacity
- Authorized bed capacity is increased from 100 to 300 beds.

Upgrade of Services, Equipment, and Facilities
- Existing professional health care services must be upgraded.
- Medical equipment and facilities should be commensurate with the increased bed capacity.
Expansion of Workforce
- The current workforce, including doctors, nurses, and support personnel, shall be increased correspondingly to meet the demands of the expanded hospital capacity.
Creation and Filling of New Positions
- The DOH Secretary shall determine additional new positions after consulting with the Hospital Chief.
- Coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and the Civil Service Commission is required for this process.
Funding and Implementation
- The DOH Secretary shall include the implementation of this Act in the Department's program.
- Funding for the hospital’s upgrade and operation shall be incorporated in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Repeal and Amendment of Conflicting Laws
- All laws, decrees, executive orders, or presidential issuances inconsistent with this Act are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
