Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records

  • All personnel working at the former Calabanga National High School are transferred and absorbed by the Calabanga National Science High School.
  • All assets and liabilities previously held by Calabanga National High School are likewise transferred to the new National Science High School.
  • All records of the former school are also transferred and absorbed by the new institution.

Appropriations and Funding

  • The Secretary of Education is mandated to integrate the operationalization of the Calabanga National Science High School into the Department of Education’s program immediately.
  • The initial funding for the School’s operation shall be charged against the current year appropriations allocated previously for Calabanga National High School.
  • Future funding needed for the continued operation of the School will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Implementation and Regulation

  • The Secretary of Education is authorized to formulate and issue necessary rules and regulations to effectively implement and carry out the objectives of this Act.

Effectivity Clause

  • The Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

  • The Act was approved by the House of Representatives and the Senate on October 3, 2011, and July 24, 2012, respectively.
  • The Act was finally approved and signed into law by the President on October 29, 2012.
