Change of Name from "Benham Rise" to "Philippine Rise"
- The undersea feature formerly known as "Benham Rise" shall be officially renamed "Philippine Rise".
- This name change applies to all local and international maps and charts.
Official Maps and Publications
- The National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) shall update all official Philippine maps and charts to reflect the new name "Philippine Rise" instead of "Benham Rise".
Government Notification to International Organizations
- The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in consultation with NAMRIA and other relevant agencies, is mandated to notify concerned international organizations regarding the name change.
Uniform Use of the New Name in Government Agencies
- All government departments, subdivisions, agencies, and instrumentalities must use the name "Philippine Rise" in official documents referring to the undersea feature.
Funding and Financial Provisions
- Initial costs for implementing this Executive Order will be sourced from available funds of the DFA and other concerned agencies.
- Implementation shall comply with existing budgeting, accounting, and auditing rules.
Separability Clause
- If any provision of this Executive Order is declared unconstitutional or invalid, such invalidity will not affect other provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
Repealing Clause
- Any orders, rules, regulations, or issuances inconsistent with this Executive Order are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The Executive Order shall take effect upon its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
