EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 25

: The main purpose is to change the name of the undersea feature known as "Benham Rise" to "Philippine Rise" in local and international maps and charts, and for other purposes related to national sovereignty and mapping.
: The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) signed and ratified by the Philippines.
: Approximately 24 million hectares.
: Section 1.
: The National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA).
: To transmit the appropriate notifications to concerned international organizations about the name change.
: The 1987 Philippine Constitution, national legislation, the UNCLOS, and applicable international law.
: All departments, subdivisions, agencies, and instrumentalities of the government must use and employ the name 'Philippine Rise' in all official documents referring to the undersea feature.
: They shall be subject to available funds of the DFA and other concerned agencies and comply with existing budgeting, accounting, and auditing rules and regulations.
: Per Section 6, the other parts or provisions shall not be affected and shall continue to be in full force and effect.
: Upon its publication in a newspaper of general circulation, as stated in Section 8.
: It asserts Philippine sovereignty and jurisdiction, properly designating the undersea feature in accordance with national interest and international law.
