Funding through the GAA
- Section 2 requires that the amount necessary to carry out all provisions of the Act be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following enactment into law and thereafter.
Effectivity and constitutional lapse
- The Act is enacted as Republic Act No. 8649, titled “AN ACT CONVERTING THE CENTRAL MINDANAO UNIVERSITY-BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL IN BARANGAY BALILA, MUNICIPALITY OF LANTAPAN, PROVINCE OF BUKIDNON, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE LANTAPAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR”, and is dated May 30, 1998.
- Section 3 provides that the Act takes effect upon its approval.
- The Act lapsed into law on May 30, 1998 without the signature of the President, in accordance with Article VI, Section 27 (1) of the Constitution.
