Legal Basis and Regulatory Framework

Purpose of the Booking Confirmation
- Used for verification purposes by the Embassy or Labor Attache alongside visa guarantee, Certificate of Eligibility, or work permit.
- Serves as supporting evidence to validate the contractual engagement of the performing artist abroad.
Interim Requirement for Artist Record Book (ARB)
- Booking Confirmation is, on an interim basis, a prerequisite for the issuance of an Artist Record Book.
- The ARB is an official document for performing artists managed by POEA.
Standardized Format and Replacement of Previous Forms
- A model Booking Confirmation form is attached and must be used uniformly by all concerned entities.
- Existing formats in use are to be replaced by this standardized Booking Confirmation form.
Implementation Date and Compliance
- The circular takes effect on March 1, 1995.
- Strict compliance is mandated by the POEA Administrator.
