Reapportionment into Six Districts
- The Province of Batangas is reapportioned into six (6) legislative districts commencing in the next national and local elections after effectivity of the Act (Section 1).
- First Legislative District remains composed of the municipalities: Balayan; Calaca; Calatagan; Lemery; Lian; Nasugbu; Taal; Tuy (Section 1(a)).
- Second Legislative District consists of: Bauan; Lobo; Mabini; San Luis; San Pascual; Tingloy (Section 1(b)).
- Third Legislative District remains composed of the city and municipalities: Tanauan City; Agoncillo; Alitagtag; Balete; Cuenca; Laurel; Malvar; Mataas na Kahoy; San Nicolas; Sta. Teresita; Sto. Tomas; Talisay (Section 1(c)).
District Composition Rules by Municipality
- Fourth Legislative District consists of: Ibaan; Padre Garcia; Rosario; San Jose; San Juan; Taysan (Section 1(d)).
- Fifth Legislative District consists of the City of Batangas (Section 1(e)).
- Sixth Legislative District consists of the City of Lipa (Section 1(f)).
- Each district’s composition is determined by the municipality/city lists enumerated under Section 1(a) to (f).
Incumbent Representative Continuity
- The incumbent Representatives of Batangas’s Second (2nd) and Fourth (4th) legislative districts continue to represent the City of Batangas and the City of Lipa, respectively (Section 2).
- Continuity lasts until the new Representatives of the Fifth (5th) and Sixth (6th) legislative districts are elected and qualified (Section 2).
Implementing Rules and Regulations
- The Commission on Elections must issue the necessary rules and regulations to implement Republic Act No. 10673 (Section 3).
