Mandate and Academic Scope

  • If the campus ceases to exist or becomes abolished, or if the land parcels are no longer needed, these shall revert to the local government unit or the Republic of the Philippines.

Application of Higher Education Modernization Act

  • Republic Act No. 8292, known as the Higher Education Modernization Act of 1997, shall serve as a supplementary legal framework for this Act.

Appropriations and Funding

  • Funds necessary to implement this Act, including plantilla positions for teaching and non-teaching personnel, shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act (GAA).
  • The Municipality of Bagac shall continue to assist in funding operations until the national funding is provided in the GAA.

Drafting and Issuance of Implementing Rules and Regulations

  • The BPSU Board of Regents, in consultation with CHED, must issue implementing rules and regulations within sixty (60) days from the Act's effectivity.

Legal Provisions on Invalidity and Conflicts

  • If any provision of the Act is declared invalid or unconstitutional, the remainder of the Act shall continue to be in full force and effect.
  • Conflicting or inconsistent laws, decrees, executive orders, and regulations are repealed or amended to conform with this Act.

Effectivity

  • The Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
