Powers of the Eminent Persons Group
- Formulate sustainable tourism development plans.
- Recommend necessary rules to the Philippine Tourism Authority.
- Advocate sustainable development policies among locals, officials, and national government.
- Prioritize development projects consistent with sustainability plans.
- Coordinate necessary enterprises within Boracay.
- Initiate proper land use projects and practices.
- Ensure preservation of natural and cultural heritage.
Private Sector Character of the Group
- Group retains private sector character if no government funds are used.
- Receipt of government funds changes the group’s nature to that of government officials.
Group Secretary
- A government official appointed by the President will serve as Group Secretary.
Appropriations
- Compensation and operating expenses of the Group Secretary are funded by the Philippine Tourism Authority.
Separability Clause
- Unconstitutional portions do not nullify the entire Executive Order if remaining provisions can still function.
Repealing Clause
- Inconsistent orders, rules, regulations, or parts thereof are revoked, amended, or modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The Executive Order takes effect immediately upon issuance.
