Appropriation for Mindanao and Sulu Hospitals

Section 1 appropriates PHP 39,000.00 out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
The appropriation covers purposes of the public health service.
The appropriation is for the Department of Mindanao and Sulu.
Section 1 applies “except as otherwise stated” within the act’s own terms.

Section 1 allots PHP 6,000.00 for combating epidemic diseases.
Section 1 allots PHP 4,000.00 for construction and equipment of an operating room and the screening of windows of wards in the Lanao Public Hospital.
Section 1 allots PHP 13,000.00 for completing the construction and equipment of a hospital for contagious diseases at Zamboanga.
Section 1 allots PHP 6,000.00 for completing the construction and equipment of the Cotabato Public Hospital.
Section 1 allots PHP 5,000.00 for the necessary repair of the public building where Dr. Jose Rizal was for a time confined at Dapitan, and for the equipment of a suitable portion thereof as a public dispensary and ward for medical and surgical relief to the public, to be known as “Rizal Memorial Hospital.”
Section 1 allots PHP 5,000.00 for continuing the work of improvement of the Rizal memorial Park at Dapitan.
Section 1 totals the appropriations at PHP 39,000.00.

Section 2 makes the appropriated sum available until expended for the respective purposes.
Section 2 requires that upon completion of the projects, remaining balances must be covered back into the Insular Treasury.
Section 2 directs that re-covered balances go to the account of unappropriated funds.
