Composition and Seat of Municipal Governments
- Each new municipality will comprise the territories of the combined former municipalities.
- The seat of government for each merged municipality is located at the original seat of the main municipality listed.
- This consolidation affects both urban and rural areas within Cebu Province.
Municipal Elections and Abolishment of Previous Offices
- Municipal elections shall be conducted according to the rules in Act No. 730, as amended by Act No. 928.
- New municipal officials, once elected and qualified, will replace the old municipal organization.
- All previous municipal offices and positions in the merged municipalities are abolished immediately upon qualification of the new officials.
- Until new officials are qualified, the existing municipal organization remains in effect.
Expedient Passage for Public Good
- The act was expedited due to the public good, following the procedure established by an earlier act dated September 26, 1900.
Effective Date of the Act
- The law takes effect immediately upon its passage on October 22, 1903.
