Academic Programs and Mandate
- The PUP-Cabiao Campus is mandated to offer short-term, technical-vocational, undergraduate, and graduate courses.
- Programs offered must align with the campus's competencies and specializations.
- Course offerings and academic programs should respond to the human resource development needs of Nueva Ecija and Region III.
- The campus is also responsible for conducting research, extension services, and providing progressive leadership in these fields.
Administration and Leadership
- The campus shall be led by a full-time Campus Administrator.
- Appointment is made by the PUP Board of Regents following recommendations from a search committee and the PUP President.
- Appointments are subject to the Board’s established guidelines, qualifications, and standards.
Compliance with Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Requirements
- The PUP Board of Regents shall ensure that all minimum course requirements and operational standards set by CHED for regular campuses are met by PUP-Cabiao.
Transfer of Assets, Personnel, and Records
- All assets (real and personal), personnel, records, and liabilities of the PUP-Cabiao Campus are transferred to the PUP System.
- Existing faculty and personnel retain their positions, rights, and security of tenure under existing laws.
- Government-owned land occupied by the campus is declared property of PUP and will be titled accordingly.
- Should PUP cease to exist or the land be unused, ownership will revert to the local government unit or the Republic of the Philippines.
Funding Provisions
- Necessary funds for implementing provisions of the Act shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
- Meanwhile, the Municipality of Cabiao will fund the campus's operation and maintenance.
Severability Clause
- If any provision or part of the Act is declared invalid or unconstitutional, the rest of the Act remains effective and enforceable.
Repealing Clause
- All existing laws, presidential decrees, executive orders, rules, and regulations inconsistent with the Act are repealed or modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The Act becomes effective fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
