Special Nonworking Holiday in Ifugao

Section 1 declares September 2 of every year as a special nonworking holiday in the Province of Ifugao.
The holiday applies within Ifugao for every year covered by the Act.
Section 2 directs coordination among the Provincial Government of Ifugao, municipal government of Kiangan, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO), and the Military Shrines Service (MSS).

Section 1 establishes the commemoration of the surrender of General Tomoyuki Yamashita, Commander of the Japanese Imperial Army in the Philippines, in Kiangan, Ifugao.
Section 2 requires commemorative programs and activities to honor the heroes and heroines who contributed to the Philippines’ liberation from the Japanese forces.
