Conduct and Supervision of Plebiscite
- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is mandated to conduct and supervise a plebiscite for the creation of Barangay Banawa-Englis.
- This plebiscite is to be held within thirty (30) days from the effectivity of the Act.
Election of Barangay Officials
- The first set of barangay elective officials shall be chosen through a special election.
- This election must occur within sixty (60) days after ratification by a majority vote in the plebiscite.
Commencement of Corporate Existence
- The corporate existence of Barangay Banawa-Englis begins upon the election and qualification of its Punong Barangay and the majority of its Sangguniang Barangay members.
Seat of Barangay Government
- The seat of the Barangay Government is located at the old Sitio Banawa.
Entitlement to Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) Shares
- Barangay Banawa-Englis is entitled to Internal Revenue Allotment shares as provided under Section 285 of Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991).
Appropriations for Plebiscite
- The cost to conduct the plebiscite shall be charged against the Contingent Fund of COMELEC.
Effectivity of the Act
- The law takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least two newspapers of general and local circulation.
