Consolidation of Provincial Treasurer and Supervisor Offices

Act No. 633 is entitled “AN ACT CONSOLIDATING THE OFFICES OF PROVINCIAL TREASURER AND SUPERVISOR OFFICES.”
Section 1 consolidates the offices of provincial treasurer and provincial supervisor for the province of Isabela.
Section 1 states that the consolidated office is known as the office of provincial supervisor-treasurer.
Section 1 refers to provincial offices “provided for in Act Numbered Two hundred and ten,” extending the Provincial Government Act to Isabela.

Section 4 repeals so much of Act Numbered Two hundred and ten and its amendments as may be inconsistent with Act No. 633.
Section 1 expressly links the consolidated offices to the framework created by Act Numbered Two hundred and ten extending the Provincial Government Act to Isabela.
Section 5 requires expedited enactment under section two of “An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws,” passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

Section 2 provides that the provincial governor, provincial supervisor-treasurer, and division superintendent of schools for Isabela and Cagayan constitute the provincial board.
Section 2 mandates that these officials receive no additional compensation for their services as members of the provincial board.

Section 3 requires a bond of twelve thousand dollars for the provincial supervisor-treasurer.
Section 3 sets the annual salary of the provincial supervisor-treasurer at two thousand two hundred dollars, payable monthly.
Section 3 provides that the supervisor-treasurer’s qualifications and duties are the same as those of the provincial supervisor and provincial treasurer as outlined in the Provincial Government Act.
Section 3 expressly removes the requirement that the provincial supervisor must be a competent civil engineer and surveyor.
Section 3 allows the supervisor-treasurer to employ a foreman in charge of the repair and construction of roads at a salary not to exceed sixty dollars a month.
