Functions of the Program Implementors

  • The Undersecretary, upon the Program Director's recommendation, proposes necessary measures for the formulation, administration, control, supervision, and effective implementation of the Program.
  • Conducts examination of applicants, sworn statements, and relevant facts to ensure compliance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 6981 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).
  • Recommends to the Secretary of Justice the termination of witness rights and benefits if there is a substantial breach of the Memorandum of Agreement between the witness and the Program.
  • Coordinates with other government agencies involved in implementing the Program to ensure cohesive and efficient operation.
  • Performs additional functions and duties as provided by law or as directed by the Secretary of Justice to effectively implement policies and achieve Program objectives.

Terminology Revisions

  • All references in previous documents to "Committee" and/or "Chairman of the Committee" are to be understood as referring to the "Program Implementors" and/or the "Undersecretary in charge of the National Prosecution Service," respectively.

Effectivity

  • These amendments to the IRR shall take effect fifteen (15) days after publication in two newspapers of general circulation, ensuring public awareness and legal compliance.
