  • Central Board includes the First Lady of the Philippines as Chief Girl Scout, Charter and Life Members (max 16), private sector representatives (equal number), Regional Chairpersons, government sector representatives (various Secretaries and the Executive Secretary), the Boy Scouts’ President, Senior Girl Scout representatives, and cultural minority representatives.
  • Except for elected Regional Chairpersons and Senior Girl Scout representatives, members are appointed or coopted, subject to ratification by the Chief Girl Scout and confirmation by the President.
  • Central Board empowered to amend constitution and by-laws, establish committees, and set policies.
  • Board meetings held at least twice a year; quorum rules may be established by by-laws.
  • Officers including National President and others are elected from among Central Board members.

Executive Committee Functions

  • Composed of all officers and Standing Committee chairpersons.
  • Responsible for implementing policies and decisions of the National Council and Central Board.

National Council Structure and Role

  • Serves as a forum for guidelines, directions, and evaluation of the Girl Scout Movement.
  • Comprises Central Board members, Presidents of Girl Scout Councils or their representatives, and elected delegates from each council.

Interim Reorganization Provisions

  • An Ad Interim body headed by Carlos P. Romulo appointed for restructuring Central Board.
  • Authorized to designate members for restructuring committees.
  • Current administrative setup maintained pending reorganization, which must be completed within six months.

Effectivity of the Amendments and Decree

  • The amendments and the decree take effect immediately upon issuance.
