The primary purpose is to help girls realize the ideals of womanhood and prepare themselves for their responsibilities in the home, the nation, and the world community, while maintaining standards that inspire citizenship, character, conduct, attainment, and international understanding.

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines is a non-stock, non-profit, non-sectarian, non-political, independent, and voluntary corporation.
It has perpetual succession, the power to sue and be sued, acquire, hold and convey real and personal estate, receive funds or property by gift or other means, adopt a seal, establish offices nationally, make and adopt by-laws, and exercise all powers necessary to carry out its purposes.
The Central Board comprises the First Lady of the Philippines as Chief Girl Scout, Charter and Life Members (up to 16), an equal number of private sector representatives, Regional Chairpersons of Girl Scout regions, government sector representatives (various secretaries and officials), the President of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, senior Girl Scouts, and representatives of cultural minorities.
They are appointed or coopted, subject to ratification by the Chief Girl Scout and confirmation by the President of the Philippines.
