    • Applicable sections of Part 2 and Part 8 of the regulations.
    • Airspace rules and procedures specific to the airport where the solo flight will be performed.
    • Flight characteristics and operational limitations for the specific make and model of aircraft to be flown.

Solo Flight Authorization

  • Student pilot must be authorized by a flight instructor before undertaking solo flight.
  • Must hold at least a Class 2 Medical Certificate.

Effectivity and Supersession

  • These amendments are part of PCAR Part 2, series of 2013, effective immediately upon publication and filing with the U.P. Law Center - Office of the National Administrative Register.
  • They supersede any conflicting prior memoranda, regulations, and directives.
