The term "Permit to Import" previously used in BPI Quarantine Administrative Order No. 1, series of 1981, is clarified and redefined to mean "phytosanitary clearance."
All references to "Permit to Import" in this order and related prior orders are amended to read "Plant Quarantine Clearance."
The official document issued by the BPI formerly called a "Permit to Import" shall be renamed and issued as a "Plant Quarantine Clearance."

Supersession and Revocation of Inconsistent Orders

Any previous orders, rules, or regulations inconsistent with this amendment are superseded or revoked.

Effectivity

This Administrative Order will take effect fifteen (15) days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
Adopted on August 22, 2005, and signed by the Secretary of Agriculture, Domingo F. Panganiban.
