BPI QUARANTINE ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 01

: The authority is granted under Presidential Decree No. 1433.
: The Director of the Bureau of Plant Industry with the approval of the Secretary of Agriculture.
: All references to 'Permit to Import' are changed to 'Plant Quarantine Clearance' to reflect its real meaning as phytosanitary clearance.
: The document is now called 'Plant Quarantine Clearance.'
: All inconsistent Orders, Rules, and Regulations are superseded and/or revoked accordingly.
: It takes effect fifteen (15) days after publication in one newspaper of general circulation.
: It sets forth the rules and regulations to implement Presidential Decree 1433 regarding plant quarantine.
: The Secretary of Agriculture must approve the Special Quarantine Orders issued by the Director of the Bureau of Plant Industry.
: It signifies phytosanitary clearance required for importing plants or plant products under the Bureau of Plant Industry regulations.
