Definition and Pricing of Select Edition Category
- Select Edition allows alpha-numeric or alpha character combinations such as names, slogans, or initials.
- The combination must not conflict with Limited or Premium Editions.
- The length ranges from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 6 characters.
- The price for the Select Edition is PHP 10,000, inclusive of handling costs.
- Examples include combinations like "GANDA", "JUST4U", "MACHO", "1FOUR3".
- Combinations with two or three alpha characters and one numeric character (e.g., "JEA8", "007") are no longer allowed due to similarity with regular and special plates.
Regulations on Installation, Renewal, and Loss of Vanity License Plates
- Vanity plates are issued only to owners of duly registered motor vehicles.
- Only one vanity license plate is issued per vehicle and is installed at the rear license plate space.
- A validation sticker reflecting the same characters as the plate must be installed at the upper right corner inside the rear windshield.
- Annual renewal fees for the vanity plate and the vehicle registration must be paid by the owner.
- Transfer fees apply when the vanity plate is transferred to another owner or beneficiary.
- In case of lost plates, a duplicate can be issued upon submission of:
- Sworn Affidavit of Loss
- LETAS Alarm Report
- Police Report
- Original Official Receipt or payment for lost VLP
- Original VLP Certificate of Title
- Photocopy of Certificate of Registration
- Photocopy of latest Official Receipt of Registration
Superseding Previous Orders
- All prior orders or memoranda conflicting with this amendment are superseded.
- Strict compliance with these guidelines is mandated.
