Legal basis and scope of creation
- Section 1 separates the Amas National High School - Onica Annex located in Barangay Onica, City of Kidapawan, Province of Cotabato from the Amas National High School.
- Section 1 converts the separated annex into an independent national high school.
- The independent school created is to be known as Onica National High School.
- Section 2 authorizes the Department of Education, Culture and Sports to issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the Act.
Operations and governance transfer
- Section 3 transfers to and absorbs by Onica National High School all personnel of the Amas National High School - Onica Annex.
- Section 3 transfers to and absorbs by Onica National High School all records of the Amas National High School - Onica Annex.
- Section 3 transfers to and absorbs by Onica National High School all assets of the Amas National High School - Onica Annex.
- Section 3 transfers to and absorbs by Onica National High School all liabilities of the Amas National High School - Onica Annex.
Funding and appropriations
- Section 4 provides that the amount necessary for the initial implementation of the Act is charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Amas National High School - Onica Annex.
- Section 4 provides that thereafter, the sums necessary for the continuous operation and maintenance of Onica National High School are included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Implementing authority and required rules
- Section 2 requires the Department of Education, Culture and Sports to issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of the Act.
Provisions on effectivity
- Section 5 states that the Act takes effect upon its approval.
