Public utility vehicle operators are mandated to display "HOW'S MY DRIVING?" markings with contact information to enhance accountability and minimize driver abuses, with penalties for non-compliance.

Required “How’s My Driving?” markings

  • Operators must paint the following marking requirement on their units:
    • “HOW'S MY DRIVING?
      Call or Text LTFRB Hotline (0921) 448-7777
      Or Call Operator's Tel. No. _______________.”
  • The required marking must be visible on the unit and include (0921) 448-7777 and the operator’s telephone number line.

Placement and lettering rules by vehicle type

  • For buses, trucks, vans and AUVs, the marking must be painted at the rear side of the units using 3" x 1" lettering size (height and width).
  • For sedan vehicles, the marking must be painted at the rear hood portion using 2" x 1" lettering size (height and width) or printed as stickers at the rear windshield with 3" x 1" lettering size (height and width).
  • For jeepneys, the marking must be painted on the right and left sides of the units using 3" x 1" lettering size (height and width).

Operator recordkeeping duty

  • Operators must keep a daily record of:
    • their drivers, and
    • the units that drive for easy identification of erring drivers.

Compliance period

  • Operators have a thirty-day (30) period from effectivity to comply with the marking and recordkeeping requirements.

Penalty for violations

  • Any operator found violating the circular is subject to a penalty of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.000) per single offense.
