Specifications for Markings by Vehicle Type

  • Buses, trucks, vans, and Asian Utility Vehicles (AUVs): Markings must be painted on the rear side with lettering measuring 3" (height) by 1" (width).
  • Sedan vehicles: Markings must be painted on the rear hood with 2" by 1" letters or displayed via stickers on the rear windshield measuring 3" by 1".
  • Jeepneys: Markings must be painted on the right and left sides, each letter 3" by 1" in size.

Operator Record-Keeping Requirement

  • Operators must maintain a daily log of drivers and corresponding units.
  • This record facilitates identification and accountability of drivers in case of complaints or infractions.

Compliance Period and Penalties

  • A 30-day grace period is granted from the effectivity date for full compliance.
  • Non-compliance results in a fine of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00) per violation.

Effectivity and Supersession

  • The Circular takes effect 15 days after filing of three copies with the UP Law Center.
  • It supersedes any previous issuances inconsistent with its provisions.
