: The main purpose is to increase the bed capacity of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center from 1,200 to 1,500 beds and to appropriate funds for this increase.

: Any future increase in bed capacity shall be consistent with the hospital development plan prepared by the Department of Health (DOH).
: Yes, the existing professional healthcare services and facilities at VSMMC shall be upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in bed capacity.
: The Secretary of the Department of Health (DOH), after consultation with the Chief of VSMMC, and in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management and the Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission.
: Doctors, nurses, and support personnel shall be increased correspondingly.
: The funding shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act and incorporated in the DOH's program.
: The remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.
: All laws, executive orders, issuances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are repealed or modified accordingly.
: It took effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
