RA No. 11922 created Barangay Tagukon as a distinct and independent barangay in the City of Kabankalan, Province of Negros Occidental.

The sitio of Tagukon was separated from Barangay Camingawan in the City of Kabankalan, Province of Negros Occidental.

It is constituted as a distinct and independent barangay known as Barangay Tagukon.

North—Barangay Carol-an; Northeast and Southeast—Negros Oriental; Southwest—lIlog River; Northwest—Banga Creek and Inihi-an Creek; West—Barangay Camingawan.
