To enhance public safety, regulations mandate that imported right-hand drive vehicles display specific reflective warning signs and require an aide for drivers, with penalties for non-compliance.

Motor vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of 4501 kgs and above are covered under Section 1.01.

This sign must be placed at the front windshield of right hand drive vehicles.

At the rear of the vehicle, a sign stating "CAUTION - RIGHT HAND DRIVE" must be displayed.

Vehicles carrying a container van must have an independent reflective sign attached or hooked to the container that reads "CAUTION - RIGHT HAND DRIVE".

The safety signs shall be made of reflective sheeting materials, letters must be 5 cm in height, and the sticker should measure no less than 10 cm by 60 cm, visible and readable from a minimum distance of 50 meters during day or night.

A fine of Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) is imposed separately on the driver and the owner of the vehicle.

Both the driver and the owner are held liable separately for violations.

AO No. 86AO-004 dated 25 July 1986 and AO No. 90-003 dated 05 March 1990 are amended by this Order.

The Order took effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
