The Board has quasi-legislative (rule-making) power under Section 9 (g) and Section 13 to set ethical and professional standards for the practice of radiologic technology and adopt rules and regulations (Code of Professional Ethics) necessary to enforce such standards.

The Code is vital for their proper observance of ideal professional practice, behavior, and relationships with peers, employers, patients, the agency, members of allied professions, and society at large.

The Philippine Association of Radiologic Technologists, Inc. (PART), the Association of Colleges/Universities offering Radiologic Technology courses, and the Bureau of Higher Education, Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS).

It takes effect one (1) month following its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation, upon approval by the Commission.

They should be aware of the supreme authority of the state and adhere to the Constitution, R.A. No. 7431, other laws, and related rules and regulations.

Radiologic Technologists and X-Ray Technologists must act with dignity, sincerity, and genuine concern, maintaining confidentiality of patient data, not discriminating, providing the highest technical service, and minimizing radiation exposure risks.

They should not assist in any unauthorized practices of the profession and must report any violations of R.A. 7431 and the Code to the Board of Radiologic Technology.

They should maintain dignity and integrity of their profession, share knowledge with fellow paramedical professionals, be active members of accredited associations, encourage professional growth, avoid conflicts of interest, and adhere to due process and equality in peer relationships.

They should assist in improving government agency functions, protect equipment and materials, perform assigned tasks diligently, particularly ensuring patient safety, and promote goodwill among peer employees.

They should be honest, dependable, morally upright, committed to continuing education, entitled to just compensation, and should not allow their names to be used for advertising unless employed by the concerned entity.
