Question & AnswerQ&A (PPA MEMORANDUM)
The purpose is to formally notify the Office of the Port Manager of the lessee’s intention to renew their PTOC for the calendar year 2003 for their present leased office or land premises.
Lessees must submit their written intent to renew their Permit to Occupy not later than November 30, 2002.
Failure to secure the PTOC for CY 2002 due to unpaid outstanding accounts results in non-eligibility to renew or obtain a Permit to Occupy for CY 2003.
Lessees must secure a Certification of No Outstanding Accounts from the Finance Section of the Office of the Port Manager.
They are advised to pay their outstanding accounts and/or update their deposits prior to renewing their PTOCs for CY 2003.
The Office of the Port Manager is responsible for receiving such applications.
It is governed under Section 15 of PPA Memorandum Order No. 22-95 on the Revised Guidelines on Real Estate Management.
The Permit to Occupy applies to lessees occupying office or land premises leased from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).
Failing to settle or update accounts/deposits constitutes grounds for the denial of Permit to Occupy renewal for the following calendar year.
Prudencio B. Mercado, Jr. adopted and signed the memorandum on October 14, 2002.
