The primary purpose is to direct the survey and preparation of a technical description of the Maragondon-Ternate-Nasugbu Tourist Zone and to assign responsibilities for the development, zoning, and enforcement of regulations within the tourist zone.
The Director of Lands is directed to survey and prepare the technical description of the tourist zone.
The technical description and survey prepared shall be considered an integral part of Proclamation No. 1520 dated November 28, 1975, which declared the Maragondon-Ternate-Nasugbu Tourist Zone.
The Philippine Tourism Authority is responsible for formulating the development plan.
The Philippine Tourism Authority must coordinate with the Department of Tourism, other government agencies, and the local governments exercising political jurisdiction or preparing sectoral plans over the tourist zone area.
The zoning regulations include building codes and other restrictions necessary to control the orderly development of the tourist zone.
Penalties are provided under Section 39 of Presidential Decree No. 564.
The Philippine Tourism Authority must submit the zone development plan through the Department of Tourism and the National Economic & Development Authority to the President for review and approval.
They are directed to cooperate with and assist the Philippine Tourism Authority in conducting comprehensive technical, financial, market, socio-economic, regional development, and other studies of the tourist zone within their capability and authority.
