The main purpose of creating the PPA PMO-SHSTU is to directly provide and operate stevedoring services at the South Harbor, Port Area, Manila, ensuring continuous and efficient cargo handling and other related port services as prescribed by Presidential Decree No. 857, as amended.
The PPA PMO-SHSTU was created under the authority of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) in exercise of its inherent functions and pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 857, as amended.
