Republic Act No. 10836

: The main purpose of Republic Act No. 10836 is to separate the Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School - Pasonanca Annex from the Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School and convert it into an independent national high school known as Pasonanca National High School.
: The Pasonanca National High School is located in Barangay Pasonanca, Zamboanga City.
: All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School - Pasonanca Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the newly created Pasonanca National High School.
: The Secretary of Education is responsible for including the operationalization of the Pasonanca National High School in the Department of Education’s program.
: The initial funding will be charged against the current year's appropriation of the Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School - Pasonanca Annex.
: The continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
: The Secretary of Education is authorized to issue the necessary rules and regulations to carry out the purpose of the Act.
: The Act took effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
: The Act was approved by President Benigno S. Aquino III on May 11, 2016.
: The annex gains autonomy, its own identity, management, and funding separate from the mother school, thereby empowering it to operate independently as a national high school.
