The main purpose is to organize a certain portion of the municipality of Vallehermoso, Province of Oriental Negros, into an independent municipality under the name of Canlaon.
The barrios of Panubigan, Linothangan, Masolog, and Budlasan along with all their sitios, and the sitio of Lucap of the barrio of Malaiba were segregated.
The seat of government is in the sitio of Mabigo, barrio of Panubigan.
Before the creation of Canlaon, there were twenty-four municipalities; the number was increased to twenty-five after.
It is described with reference to concrete boundary monuments including corner No. 721 of Northern Negros Forest Reserve, and peaks like Binaliewan Mountain, including specific directions and forest reserve markers.
Section thirty-eight of the Revised Administrative Code established the twenty-four municipalities before this order.
The municipality of Vallehermoso remains with its present territory minus the territory comprising the new municipality of Canlaon.
It takes effect as soon as the mayor, vice-mayor, and a majority of the councilors have been appointed and qualified.
