Q&A (ADVISORY NO. 09, S. 2018)

The advisory aims to enforce a monitoring and reporting system on the status of Filipino workers deployed in Kuwait in compliance with the total deployment ban imposed by DOLE Administrative Order No. 54, s. 2018.

All agencies that have deployed workers to Kuwait are directed to accomplish the Monitoring Form.

The form must include an inventory/list of recruited workers with exact location and contact numbers, information on respective employers with contact details, and a status report on the condition or situation of deployed workers on site.

Monitoring reports must be submitted every Thursday of the week or immediately as necessary.

Reports must be sent to poea.kuwaitmonitoring@gmail.com.

Failure to comply will be dealt with under the appropriate provisions of the 2016 Revised POEA Rules and Regulations Governing the Deployment of Landbased OFWs and Seafarers.

The ban was imposed under DOLE Administrative Order No. 54, s. 2018.

The authority comes from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) as part of their mandate to regulate overseas employment and protect Filipino workers abroad.

The advisory was signed by Bernard P. Olalia, Administrator of POEA.

Agencies are required to regularly coordinate with the respective employers and closely monitor the condition of their deployed workers onsite.
