The main purpose is to separate the Parañaque National High School - Marcelo Green Annex from the Parañaque National High School and convert it into an independent national high school named Marcelo Green National High School (MGNHS), and to provide funds for its operation and administration including the transfer of personnel, assets, and records.
All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Parañaque National High School - Marcelo Green Annex are transferred and absorbed by the Marcelo Green National High School.
It must comply with the Philippine 1987 Constitution Article XIV, Republic Act No. 9155 (Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001), Republic Act No. 10533 (Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013), and other subsequent education-related laws.
The school head shall be appointed and compensated in accordance with RA 9155, Civil Service laws, and other applicable rules and regulations issued by the Department of Education.
The school head is responsible for setting school vision and goals, ensuring a conducive teaching and learning environment, implementing the curriculum, developing school programs and improvement plans, managing personnel and resources, recommending staffing, encouraging staff development, fostering school-community cooperation, accepting donations, and performing other functions assigned by authorities.
The school shall implement the basic education curriculum formulated and designed by the Department of Education in accordance with the standards under RA 10533 and related DepEd issuances.
A Learning Facilitator is the key learning support person responsible for supervising and facilitating the learning process and activities of the learner as defined under Section 3(i) of RA 9155.
DepEd shall immediately include MGNHS in its program of expenditures and ensure the provision of necessary education inputs. It shall also include MGNHS in relevant management information systems such as the Enhanced Basic Education Information System (EBEIS) and the Learner Information System (LIS). Funding will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
The school head may accept donations, gifts, bequests, and grants to upgrade competencies, improve facilities, and provide instructional materials. Such donations and grants must be reported to appropriate district and division education officials.
