RA 10043 establishes a Malaria, Tropical and Infectious Disease Research and Treatment Institute in the Municipality of Sibutu, Province of Tawi-Tawi.

The Secretary of Health shall immediately include the operationalization of the Institute in the Department’s programs.

The funding shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM/now BARMM) shall continue to provide funds for the operation of the hospital until actual integration into the Institute and the funding thereof are included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
