The main purpose of Republic Act No. 11884 is to increase the authorized bed capacity of the Balindong District Hospital in the Municipality of Wato-Balindong, Province of Lanao del Sur, from ten (10) to fifty (50) beds and to appropriate funds for this increase.
Before the enactment of this law, the Balindong District Hospital was authorized to have ten (10) beds, and after the enactment, the bed capacity was increased to fifty (50) beds.
The hospital development plan for future increases in bed capacity must be prepared by the Chief of Hospital of the Balindong District Hospital.
The hospital development plan must be submitted to the Ministry of Health of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The law mandates upgrading the existing professional health care services and facilities to conform with and be commensurate to the increased bed capacity.
The existing workforce of the hospital, including doctors, nurses, and support personnel, shall be increased correspondingly to handle the increased bed capacity.
The Bangsamoro Autonomous Government is responsible for providing the necessary funds to cover the maintenance and other operating expenses of the Balindong District Hospital.
The Secretary of the Department of Health (DOH) shall include the Balindong District Hospital in the DOH's subsidy program to support the capital outlay requirements of the hospital.
The Act took effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
All laws, executive orders, issuances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with Republic Act No. 11884 are modified accordingly to conform with the provisions of this Act.
