The school head is appointed and compensated in accordance with RA 9155, Civil Service laws, and other applicable laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Responsibilities include setting mission, vision, and goals; creating a conducive teaching environment; implementing curriculum; developing the school education program; offering equitable educational opportunities; introducing innovative instruction modes; managing personnel and resources; recommending staffing needs; encouraging staff development; establishing community networks; accepting donations; and performing other assigned functions.
DepEd shall immediately include LNHS in its program of expenditures and ensure provision of basic education inputs compliant with minimum service standards. LNHS will also be included in DepEd's Enhanced Basic Education Information System (EBEIS), Learner Information System (LIS), and other management information systems.
DepEd shall create items and recruit/deploy necessary teaching and non-teaching personnel consistent with existing guidelines and standards on authorized manpower and staffing complement, and in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management, Civil Service Commission, and other government agencies.
LNHS must implement the basic education curriculum formulated and designed by DepEd following the standards and principles set forth under Section 10, Rule II of the IRR of RA 10533 and other pertinent DepEd issuances.
